"Oh, darling~"

[Gives a broad smile when he sees him and moves closer] “Hello, Jim.”

[Can’t stop the grin of his own, a bit disturbing an expression but genuine all the same. He meets Sherlock halfway, sliding his hands up to grasp his lapels and pulling him down for a long kiss.]

[Hums against Jim’s lips, gripping lightly at his hips, as he kisses back] “I’ve missed you.”

"And I’ve missed you, my dear." [Wouldn’t admit that for almost anyone else, because Sherlock ISN’T just anyone]

Jim smirked, knowing he’d won even if he couldn’t see the smile on John’s face. He pressed his own face into John’s neck, pressing his lips to his jawline with an almost-coo of pleasure.

John closed his eyes when Jim’s soft flesh met his own, “Jim,” he sighed, “where were you?”

And there it was, the question Jim had hoped to avoid a bit longer. He grimaced, moving to nibble along John’s neck to distract him.

"Here and there," Jim replied, forcedly off-hand.

Oh, there are so many ways to take that question, and Jim’s tempted by them all. And yet he doesn’t answer at first, reaching down instead to tangle his fingers in the boy’s hair, pull him up that way.

So that’s a yes, then.

Jaxx makes a soft noise as he’s tugged up, entirely pleased as he crawls up to settle himself, straddled over Jim’s lap. He nuzzles into the grasp on his hair and leans in to press a soft kiss to his jaw.
"Thank you Daddy."

Jim exhales in an almost inaudible sigh of contentment. His body’s already beginning to react to Jaxx’s presence, automatically, but he’s in no hurry. Jim’s fingers loosen their grasp in Jaxx’s hair, drifting down to his throat where they can wrap around it with ease— just holding, not squeezing yet.

"Such a good boy," Jim coos, leaning in now so his lips nearly brush Jaxx’s.

"Don’t call me that."

"Is that any way to respond when I’m clearly so /happy/ to see you? And here I’d hoped you’d missed me…" Cue overdramatic, fake…

"Oh, darling~"

*makes a noise quite close to a squeak and sits up immediately from his task to look at Jim with a brilliant grin*
"You’re home!"

"Obviously," Jim drawls, but he’s got a smug, pleased look on his face…

John rolled his eyes, “come here, you.”

Jim barely suppressed a grin as he immediately moved in, virtually wrapping himself around John.

"Admit it, you missed me," he purred.

i like how cis people act like it would be the worst thing in the world not to assume people’s genders i mean we don’t assume people’s names what if you just met someone and you were like “hey emily” and they were like “thats not my name its megan” and you were like “oh well how was i supposed to know. you look like an emily to me. i guess i can try to call you megan but its gonna be hard because i just see you as such an emily”
